About

About me:

I’m a marine biology and archaeology student living in the SC lowcountry. When I’m not studying, I’m out on the beaches, hiking, at my art desk, or caring for my animals and plants.

My big project right now is a crested gecko colony and propagating different begonia plants (which the geckos love in their enclosures!). My other reptiles are a gargoyle gecko trio and a bearded dragon; other animals are a rat named Charlie, a green cheeked conure named Fire, and a chinese mantid group.

My artwork is mostly sketches from what I see out on the trails or the beaches, an acrylic painting every so often, and polymer clay figurines of wildlife and dragons. Art used to be my career, but it’s become a hobby now that I’ve discovered marine biology.

About the Blog:

“The Gecko Palette” is the name for my online art studio/portfolio and my gecko business. Most of the entries here will provide updates and photos on the gecko colonies, new artwork, and anything I have up for sale.
